CESMA's edutourism programs are art classes designed for cultural tourists, artists, and art enthusiasts who are interested in a unique learning experience in Italy. These packages take the form of a fieldtrip where classroom instruction and labwork is combined with fun and educational excursions to deliver a more memorable experience. Our programs have been called studying abroad, art tours, specialty travel, and active holidays, but we like to think we're just helping people from around the world learn about the art, culture and history of Italy while having fun at the same time!
Our edutourism packages are called CHARTER, Cultural, Historical, and ARTistic Educational and Recreational, Programs. CESMA's rich experience in the conservation, management, and education of Italian cultural artifacts, history and art provides a unique platform from which to offer lifelong learners deep educational, as well as relaxing recreational experiences in Italy. Our CHARTER Programs have been designed to balance a thirst for knowledge in Italy with the demands of life at home. From 10 day short classes to longer "Month-mesters", our programs can accommodate the curious vacationer on a quick holiday or the lifelong learner with a bit more time on their hands.

Our 2008 programs teach everything from fresco and mosaic production and conservation to papermaking, bookbinding, illuminated manuscripting and gilding. The courses will also take you on tours of Milan, Florence, Venice and Turin as well as the northern lakes of Italy and the Italian Alps, including the world famous Mont Blanc. Click on one of our five programs in the box to the right to discover which course is best suited to your interests.
